As millions of Ukrainians pour over borders seeking safety, we’re urging Australians to bring their humanity to the polling booth at the upcoming election. 

Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) welcomes the announcement that refugees being held under Australia’s harmful policy regime will be allowed to resettle in New Zealand, but notes that the deal will leave hundreds of others without a resettlement pathway.

New lockdown and social distancing rules imposed to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, mean Australians and New Zealanders are adjusting to a more restricted life. But many Médecins Sans Frontières field workers have already experienced various forms of confinement as they provide medical humanitarian aid in places affected by insecurity, war or outbreaks of disease.
